Holy crap, look: I'm alive.
So, I didn't want to post on here until I got a job, because I felt that that would really be the only worthwhile thing to post here.
*glances at the date of her most recent entry*
*Cough* right.
I now have a job at Blockbuster, literally taking over for my brother, who just left this morning to officially move down to Columbus. I start on Thanksgiving, and I'm looking forward to it. The manager sounds like a great guy, and the workload is not going to be back-breaking or brain surgery.
Plus I get benefits and five free rentals a week, including pre-street releases. FTW.
My cousin is horribly depressed that I'm not going to be there to help her regularly any more with her kids after school. I'll miss them, too. Not the whining and the screaming though.
In other news, I have found reinforcement that I'm an English geek. I'm reading a book called The Shakespeare Wars that discusses how Shakespeare's work is viewed and analyzed by academics and performers. The part I'm reading now is looking at the 'warring' factions of editors who are taking sides as to which is the 'best/official' version of some of the plays, the Folio, the Quarto, or the conflated versions we usually read.
I'M FASCINATED BY THIS. I now want to find clips of David Tennant's Hamlet just so I can see/hear what choice he made for Hamlet's dying words.
