Fun! E and I went to see Dar Williams at the Phoenix Hill Tavern's Rooftop Garden stage. That place was so cool! It wasn't skanky and smoky like the downstairs part. It's not so bad, I guess, and it's decorated neat but it's just not my scene. The rooftop however, was so cool. There were all these gorgeous hanging plants everywhere, it was so cool. We sat super up close and it was so much fun. The music rocked, and her electric guitarist was beautiful and I had like, the perfect view of him. He looked like a cross between John Corbett and the guy that plays Angel on tv. He had gorgeous arms.
The opening band was Girlyman and they are a new favourite of mine. Gotta love hearing a gay man playing a sparkly silver guitar singing "Son of a Preacher Man!" "Stealin' kisses from me on the sly..." Yes! That was the tops, I tell ya.
I love Sundays at work. We've spent them watching hi-LA-rious web animation from Group X and listening to EVP's (ghost voices caught on tape) and freaking out. Good times!
