(no subject)
Today was a great day!!
The kids LOVED their Valentine's Day gifts. They each got a card and a heart shaped box of candy and a big booklet of stickers.
Jack got a little talking Scooby Doo stuffed animal and Keira got a little stuffed Hello Kitty.
Jared and I gave each other cards as usual and I made heart shaped pancakes for the kids this morning.
I got started on my weekly cleaning list but had to stop long enough to go to an eye appointment this morning.
I really need new contacts but discovered under our vision plan I'm not eligible for coverage until September. Grr.
Looks like I may be buying a 6 month supply and paying for them :(
After my eye appointment I came home and cleaned more.
Jack and Jared went and got hair cuts and when they got back Jack wanted to help me with my chores so he could make some money.
I got almost every thing done on my list!
scrubbed both bathrooms
scrubbed kitchen floor
scrubbed entry way floor
scrubbed family room floor
dusted
vacuumed upstairs, downstairs and bedrooms
swept and mopped dining room and sun room
cleaned mirrors and picture frames
washed rugs
changed everyone's sheets
other misc laundry
Then we had our closing on our old house this afternoon! FINALLY!!!! We are so relieved and happy to have that over and done with it!
Tomorrow I have Lydia (5) and Henry (3) so I'm glad I got all that cleaning done today. Now I can just work on this week's Zone Cleaning List whenever I have time during the next few days!
Jack has been asking to see Star Wars. A friend of his at preschool told him about it. I requested it from the library and it should be in soon. We'll have to have a family movie night and watch it. I'm not sure how long Keira will watch but that's alright.
We had a family game night on Saturday night and we played Candy Land and Scooby Doo Pop 'N Race Game. Poor Keira had terrible luck playing the Scooby game. You need a 6 to get any of your guys out and she never popped a 6! Eventually she got bored and wandered off to read books :P
The kids sure love Family Game Night. Last time we had one we played Go Fish, Crazy Eights, Five Little Monkeys Jumping on The Bed and Chutes & Ladders.
Now off to watch one of my new favorite shows......Shameless!
