(no subject)
The night before last kind of sucked but it's my own fault. Keira wanted to nurse like every half hour and I was so tired that I'd let her just snack and as soon as she fell asleep, I'd try to sleep. I learned my lesson. Last night I made sure she drained both boobs at each feeding. A diaper change wakes her up enough for her to realize she's not done eating yet. She sleeps for a good 3-4 hours with a full tummy. That means 1 wake up time during the night. Much better!!
Yesterday I went to the chiro in the morning and then came home and took the kids down to my mom's since Comcast was coming and Jared wanted to pull out the tv's and vacuum behind them and whatnot. We ended up getting a DVR box. I made a list of all of the shows we watch and there's only a few that can be watched on On Demand and that just don't fly! The DVR box is pretty sweet. Lots of Jack's shows are on there too so that's cool. There's a ton of movies on On Demand too and I haven't been able to keep up with the ones I'm getting from Netflix. They sit here for 2 weeks before I get around to watching them so I suspended my Netflix account for a few months.
These adjustments I've been getting at the chiro are nice because they get rid of my back pain and my headache but the headache comes back after a day :/ Kind of spendy to get adjusted every couple days. Actually I haven't had any backpain since the first adjustment. I've had backpain for YEARS. Whenever I'd stand up after bending over to pick up something....I'd have to do it slowly and it would kind of feel like something was pinched. No more!
My aunt Cathy came over yesterday and took a bunch of pics of Keira for us. Jack and I got into a couple too. We were going to do a 4 generation pic with my mom and Nan too but my mom had to go to work and Keira wanted to eat when she stopped by briefly so we'll have to do that another day. Aunty Dorothy stopped by too and brought us some cookies. Jack was kind of a crabby pants because he had just woken up from his nap and it wasn't nearly long enough.
Keira's umbilical cord fell off during the night and there was a little blood on her onesie. Is that normal?? I don't recall seeing any blood when Jack's came off...... She's not bleeding or anything so I assume it's fine.
My mom made me a ton of breast pads yesterday and a few burp cloths. Once Keira gets goin on one side, the other side starts dripping like a faucet so I've been going through my breast pads and nursing bras like crazy. Now I have to remember to shove an extra pad down my bra on one side while she's nursing from the other side. Leakin like a siv over here!
