For those of you who were not aware, I have been fishing, and I have developed a taste for it. When my mind is occupied with the simple task of watching a bobber, it cannot dwell upon the horrors of human existence. The downside to this is that I am now consumed in a life or death struggle with a new foe: cyprinus carpio, the common river carp. He taunts me. Each tremor of the bobber, every crescent moon flash of his opalescent sides. Rest assured, my filth eating friend. I will be at the Humbolt Park Lagoon until I have respite from my unquiet mind. I shall have no peace until you and every other refuse-barbled evolutionary oversight has been pulled from the water, made to pose for photos in degrading submission to my grandeur, and safely released back into the sewage from whence you came.
