Why must people be so dumb.

I had an appointment Tuesday with at the college to transfer to Ashland from my community college. Everyone was great there, despite the woman I was to talk with being late (she was checking her e-mail!). It didn't even matter because the woman was so incredibily helpful with telling me what I need to do, giving me forms, filling out ones for me, giving me ones for later, letting me put in ones that I shouldn't until leter, and so on. There's a practicum in the summer, a Pre-School Lab, that only takes 10 studients for the whole class and there's WAY more than 10 trying to get in, so I have to be one of the first to register. The problem being that another woman told me that I have to get the paper on March 1st for the department head to sign to let me in the program. Now I'm being told that I'm supposed to be evaluated by the department head beforehand, so that I can be on campus at 6am to be first in line to get my class. If it wasn't for the woman I met with today, I would be royally screwed come next semester because I couldn't transfer and would then be a whole semester behind when I did start. Once I transfer, it should take a year to get my K-3 lisence, then I'm doing Intervention Specialist, so that's another semester, but I may be able to do those classes in the summer and graduate in a year. (wootwoot) The woman today called around for me and got different answers to my question, so she said to cut out the middle man and go directly to the department and ask in the PS office because they would know. Of course, I get there and the people working don't even know what form I'm talking about. Seriously. They gave me a number to call and looked at me like I had three horns coming out of my skull.

bitchin, real life
