First off, GIP. I realized yesterday that I had no Stargate: Atlantis icon. Hello, that problem needed fixed.
There was 10 inches of snow the other day. And it was the nice fluffly snow too.
Now that I'm in 2-D Design, I suspect that most of my artwork is going to be abstract (obviously everything for the class will have to abstract). There is one problem: I don't understand abstract art. I can appreciate some abstract, but I can't explain why I like a certain piece and not another. So in an effort to better "understand" abstract art I've taken up reading the archive of
artforum magazine and scouring the internet.

I've also learned that can't cut matte board to save my life. I've cut myself I don't know how many times. I'm thinking about going to my high school art teacher and begging him to make my matte boards for me. But that would require me to go back to my high school, so that's out of the question.
