Loving Frank

On Saturday, Jo, Maddie, and I went out to Oak Park to check out the Frank Lloyd Wright home & studio tour. In addition to his home, there are a ton of other homes designed by FLW in the neighborhood that makes for a really nice walking tour. Some truly amazing examples of his work, both before his Prairie School days and after. The home/studio was fantastic and if you're ever in the area and looking for a way to spend some time, I highly recommend.

Afterwards, we drove a short distance to see the Cheney home which was also designed by FLW and was the home of the central subject of the novel, Loving Frank.

Also nearby is the birthplace of Ernest Hemingway which is a museum now. We didnt have time to tour it but I took some pics of the house from outside.
