So, I decided as I've moved to a new place and have only just changed over my voters registration to the new precinct, I would go early... Polls where I live opened at 6am. I went to bed at 12am last night and I got up at 5am threw clothes on blindly and drove to the High School (oh I mean Secondary School) to vote. at 5:15am there were already 30 people waiting in line. By the time the polls opened at 6am there were already 100 people, give or take, behind me in line.
I'm proud to say that I voted at 6am and was out at 6:15am, I promptly went home, posted in 2 forums that I voted and people should get out there and vote. The way I see it is, you should support your nominee, even if he doesn't win, at least you have a RIGHT to bitch and moan for the next 4 years if he loses. At least you voted.
There are so many people out there who have NO intention of voting. Saying that both candidates are bad and there was no 'lesser of 2 evils' I won't get into the politics of this as I'm just saying in this post that it's the right thing to do to vote, if you want to make excuses about not being able to find 'time' this happens ONCE every 4 years aka: once every 1,456 days.
Please I don't even care if you're voting for 'the other guy' just go vote, your opinion DOES matter. Make it count.
This is my sticker that I got when I voted, if you've voted and wish to use it, feel free!
