I have an apartment!
And a flatmate! Crazy stuff, eh? I feel pretty crazy at the moment 'cause I just realized that I've concretely committed to staying here in the Jackson area at least until April of this coming year. (Somehow that didn't compute in my head before we signed for the apartment earlier today :-).)
I'll be sharing the apartment with Ryan, in whose name everything is as he and his fiancee Stephanie will be living there following their wedding (whenever that is - most likely early spring). Our landlord's a really nice guy (he's approved of by my friends from the area :-) ) and was kind enough to lower our monthly rent a bit from what he'd told Ryan beforehand and to significantly discount our first month's rent since we are 'moving in a week into the month' (which isn't true as it's only the 3rd :-) ).
Anyways, excitement and fear :-)! I've got to find some furniture now - at least a mattress, possibly a bed too. Maybe a couch. Definitely a table. We need to talk about that - another of the things I'd meant to bring up when we were discussing the living situation. I'm not sure how much he'll want to buy for him and Stephanie to keep and how much he'll want to split things up. We'll see. Your prayers regardless!
