It was a long day today. I was out rather late (for these post-graduation days :-) ) with Leah, Ryan, and Mark and then went in around 10:30am to help Shar out in the bookstore till noon. After that I ate a quick lunch and then went to Meijer and ended up being there till 9pm since they were extra busy and needed the help. (And yes, I got paid for those hours - it wasn't a Walmart deal where they ask you to work a bit extra off the clock.) It meant missing dinner at Aunt Harriet's, which was sad, but hopefully it'll help me out later when I ask for time off for Igor and Sarah's wedding and for the Mother of God's falling-asleep in August. (I'll quit if they make me work that day, or the night before for that matter.)
Thank God Meijer was busy though, 'cause when you're busy everything goes fast, which helps a ton. Makes it less boring. And I'm finding that a lot of my coworkers are quite "sympa" as the French would say. I also had a great customer - a Mexican-American woman on food stamps with who I assume was a friend or social worker of some sort. Big complications with payment stuff (too much cross-cultural communication in English - wish I knew Spanish 'cause I wanted to explain things better to her and just couldn't), but they were so sweet and patient.
Anyway, I'm letting Mignon run around a little before going back to the Commune to rest and eat a little before bed. I start in at 10am tomorrow and haven't had time to mow the lawn yet this week, so I need to start my day a bit earlier than I normally would (if God grants that to be possible and I don't waste time tonight).
Your prayers as always! You're in mine, infrequent though they are. I miss all of you a great deal, love a great many of you more than you know, and love a great many of you less than I should :-(. Your forgiveness of my sins against you and your prayers for my salvation! I am in need of both.
