Jobs are Stupid
Really frustrating day today. I got a message from American Eagle (one of the two places I applied to back in May that was actually hiring) Monday about interviewing for a part-time position there. I was quite elated 'cause it'd be work more in line with what I was used to at the University's bookstore, but when I called them this afternoon they only had 3:30pm tomorrow open, which is right in the middle of a training shift at Meijer :-(. Nor could it be rescheduled, which puts me in the next pool of applicants to be interviewed (provided, I think, that no one in the pool I was in is suitable). Very frustrating. I would've called Meijer in a heartbeat to try to reschedule, but then I could lose that position (also part-time) and still probably wouldn't have been hired by American Eagle, which would've left me jobless again.
