Glory to Jesus Christ!

It's now my unbirthday :-). My actual birthday went really well. Lunch with Papa at one of Jackson's Mexican restaurants, dessert with the Snyders in Spring Arbor (with two of the three people most directly responsible for my existence - my dad for being my dad and Uncle Al for C-sectioning me :-) ), the afternoon at the Commune, and supper out at BD's Mongolian Barbeque in Portage (just south of Kalamazoo) with (in alphabetical and not preferential order :-) ) the Browns, the Cabeys, Jason, the Hunts, the Keasters, Xenia, my dad, the Wesners, and Katya. Supper was originally a graduation party for Emily, the Brean, Xenia, Katya, and I, but it became a bit of a birthday party too.

I finished the day with a long [almost] midnight walk to and around campus. The weather was perfect (just a touch chilly) and it was good to have some thinking time. And now it's the 23rd and Wednesday and life is returning to normal :-), which is good.

I hope that you're all well. We're drawing near to Pentecost and the Spirit's Descent to us! What a wonderful Sunday. We're about to enter the summer with its long fast and dearth of great feasts, but the sooner we enter into it the sooner we'll get to the Mother of God's Dormition, and I love her day as much as Pascha.

Your prayers, especially that one of my applications will get a favorable response and get me a job I can live off of :-). I hear Roman Catholics bury statues of St. Joseph when they want to sell a house - is there anything similar for getting a job ;-)? Lol, God forbid I do such a sacrilegious thing, but I can't help but wonder...
