Well, I'm still in Spring Arbor. Wendy and I were both tired and got back from our events (Akathist for me and Blue Gnoo for her) after 10pm, so we decided to leave for Taylor at 7am Saturday instead of 11pm Friday :-). (A wise decision methinks.) As a result I was able to spend some time with the Browns and Keasters, which was a very nice way to end the 'working' week (as it's commonly called).

Akathist at Holy Dormition was somewhat oddly done, but great nonetheless. (It's amazing how scattered we humans are - for more on that get in touch with Fr. Meletios Webber and ask him about the "logismoi.") Some people from the U of M OCF were there to stay the night too, and Peter was among them, which was great since I haven't seen him in forever (or so it seems). If only I could live at Holy Dormition! All my problems would be solved. (LOL. You know someone's not living in reality when he says something like that :-).)

A garden is being planted here, perhaps in more ways than one. May the Mother of God protect us in these strange lands! Who would've thought something as bizarre as the West could come into existence? That even the lowest commoner would be accustomed to luxuries the emperors of the East never even imagined? That I would grow up in five countries? Truly incredible. Thank God for His compassion (that He's allowed all this to go on for so long). Anyways, the Keasters and Browns are starting a garden in their backyard, and that may well be the most unfortunate aspect of my visit to Taylor (that is, being unable to help them start it). I'm sure there'll be more work to be done later though...

It's late. I should do something productive (like homework) or go to bed. I'll probably choose the third way :-/, but c'est la vie...
