Sorry my previous post :-/. I've had a good cry and am back to semi-normal and life WILL work out.
I ended up spending the evening at the Keaster/Brown complex. Just resting with them was really, really helpful. Thank God I do have friends despite my craziness - I don't know how I would survive without any of you.
I traded shifts, so I get to work this morning :-/. Better than working later in the week though, and at least I didn't get a call in the morning about covering.
Anyone have a good summary of "Man's Search for Meaning" :-)? (I need to read most (all?) of it for my night class tonight and haven't started it yet.)
If it's daytime when you read this, go out and hug a tree. The trees get lonely too - not many people pay much attention to them (mostly my roommate from freshman year, and he's only one person and can't be everywhere at once).
Oh, and I'm opposed to English being THE official language of these United States. The AFA sent me an e-mail saying I needed to write my representatives about the issue, so I did and told them not to support making English the official language. Comments, questions, concerns, challenges, and arguments on that are welcome.
I want to end with a quote from St. John of Kronstadt I'm sure I've posted before.
"When you are...alone, and your spirit is dejected, and you are wearied and oppressed by your loneliness, remember then, as always, that God the Trinity looks upon you with eyes brighter than the sun; also all the angels, your own Guardian Angel, and all the Saints of God. Truly they do; for they are all one in God, and where God is, there are they also. Where the sun is, thither also are directed all its rays. Try to understand what this means."
We are never alone. As Over the Rhine says in "Born," "I'm gonna learn to love without fear." May God grant it. I fear loss so much that I lose more than I would have otherwise.
