So американцов? We never learned plurals outside of nominative (that I remember anyway) for that very reason :-). Thanks for the correction! I appreciate it.

Nope, it should be американцев. Normally, the ending would be "ов" but because of some really awesome spelling rules, "ц" requires "е" to follow instead of "о". Genitive plural is tricky when you start out, but you get used to it. Eventually. Happy Russian!

Now I am truly enlightened :-). Thanks for the correction. I have the feeling Russian genitive plural won't be playing a big role in my future, even if I go to a Russian-speaking country. (They can just learn English ;-).)
