St. Malachi the Prophet

What a lovely day today! Before we left for Egypt Imawaiyesh invited my sister and I to her house to celebrate Gena (old style Christmas) with her family and since we were gone for so long tonight was our first opportunity to visit her house. I'm always amazed by how hospitable and generous people here are despite how little they have. On new style Christmas Imawaiyesh gave us all presents and at her house tonight she fed Bekah and I far more than she need have, especially since there were six or seven other people waiting to eat.

It was good to go beyond the walls of our house again, but the exhaust from all the traffic has worsened my coughing. We have an early day tomorrow (we're visiting a cool project a friend of my family's has been working on for a few years), so God willing (and me enabling :-) ) I'll get to bed early tonight.

Your prayers as always! Especially remember Imawaiyesh and her family - despite her limited means she takes care of her children, some of her nieces (I think they're nieces anyways), and also a baby one of her neighbors abandoned next to a dumpster.

sick, gena, bekah, christmas, prayer requests, sleep, feast days, imawaiyesh
