St. John of Kronstadt

It's been a long day. I slept too much yesterday afternoon and evening and had a rough morning. I went to Mass at the Anglican church with my parents and it was like a modern Roman Catholic Mass. We stopped in at St. Frumentius' after lunch, but being in the cathedral again was just depressing. I really hope I can find a good Ethiopian Orthodox parish or become content with attending the monastery church in our neighborhood, 'cause St. Frumentius' is so awkward...

Lovely dinner at Pasteur Ndembe's - his son David is married with a young daughter now, which is so beautiful. I'm thankful things have been going well for them. They are a good family and deserve the best.

And joyous feast! I think this year is the 100th anniversary of St. John's death. (Certainly not of his glorification - the Synod Abroad didn't glorify him till later I think.) May his blessing be with us...
