Fast of the Mother of God
The Fast of the Mother of God is over and just beginning. I'm trying to do some spiritual house cleaning and it's been going achingly slowly (through no one's fault but my own), and so as I celebrated the end of the Monastery's fast with them on Thursday and Friday I also began my fast with the rest of the Orthodox world in Slavic Eastern Europe and parts of the Middle East.
