Yuletide
Hello yuletide author! Thank you for taking time out of your undoubtedly busy life to write fic for me, you’re automatically awesome for doing so. I’m likely to enjoy anything you come up with so don’t feel too pressured if my requests are a bit too detailed.
Things I like: characters being sassy, historically accurate context even if the relationship is fictional, banter between friends, adorable cuddles, pillow talk, domesticity, silliness, humour, subtle angst, fics where a secret relationship is discovered for better or worse, all ratings, cross-dressing, I prefer relationship based fic unless it’s for unrequited love type things.
Things I don’t like: dubcon, noncon, first and second person perspective, m-preg, OCs, shifters, vampire/werewolf fic.
As a general rule, if I've requested a pairing, then I'd rather that they be the main characters even if it's gen fic.
The Fandoms!
16th Century RPF specifically Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare.
I ship them so much that anything would be brilliant. But for specific suggestions, then anything post Marlowe’s death would be fab. Or maybe the day before or the day of, where he says goodbye to Will like it’s a normal day? I’d also love anything to do with their first meeting/first night together. If you’re looking for something with a bit more scope then perhaps something related to how Marlowe feels about Will challenging him as a writer, or how Will feels in the same situation.
I would prefer relationship!fic but gen friendship type fic is fine as long as it centres on these two and not their relationships with other people.
Supersizers RPF - Giles and Sue.
Bantery gen fic or one night stand type fic is basically what I’m after. Bonus points if it’s in costume from the period of your choice. Bonus bonus points if it’s bantery one night stand fic.
Horrible Histories - Phillip II of Spain and Flaily Spanish Larry
Gen or shippy I don’t mind. I just want the two of them being ridiculous together. Scheming and failing and being daft all over the place. If you’re in the mood I could also go for some angsty fic where Flaily Spanish Larry (feel free to give him an actual name) is brooding over Phillip marrying Mary. Perhaps Phillip doesn’t want him anymore, or what if he does and the marriage was purely political?
That said, if this is too specific a pairing, feel free to choose any others from HH, I'd be happy with pretty much anything.
Dead Poets Society - Neil Perry and Todd Anderson
Anything about the development of their friendship, if you want to make it shippy that's fine but I'd prefer gen. I'd love to see something about Todd running through lines with Neil before the play. Or maybe something about after Neil's death, how Todd is going to cope without his roommate and friend there to support him. Ideally I'd either like you to make me squeal at their adorableness or cry because my heart is forever broken.
Another quick note, I'm groovy with AUs to a certain extent. I like highschool AU and modern setting AU particularly for historicals but that's about it really. I don't particularly like genderswaps unless it's a very specific situation so I would just stay away from that if I were you.
