Okay, I got enough interest from people so I'm going to go ahead with this...
Porn Star Photoshop Contest ♥
At various points in the narrative throughout Porn Star, Changmin has made reference to a wallpaper of Jaejoong on his laptop. Your challenge is to make this wallpaper.
information:
In the first chapter of the story, Changmin makes the following comment:
This man is the wallpaper on his laptop, his user icon on the chat messenger, and he's spent enough money on this man's merchandise to probably afford an extra semester of college.
In the second chapter, Changmin's wallpaper is mentioned again, in a bit more detail:
"Tell me how you got a date-" he points a finger at Changmin's computer screen, the desktop graced with a wallpaper of Jaejoong (dressed and yet somehow not quite decent) "-with Kim Jaejoong."
This wallpaper will also be referenced and commented on in later chapters as well. ♥ It is because of these repeated mentions that I want to see this wallpaper recreated in real-life.
rules:
♦ The contest starts today (October 1st). The deadline for submitting your wallpaper will be in two weeks, at 12 a.m. midnight (Central Standard Time) on October 15th. However, if you guys want/need more time than this, please let me know. I have no problems with extending the deadline if you feel this is too little time, especially since I realize that some people likely have midterms coming up.
♦ Submit your wallpapers by PM'ing dong_bang with the subject "Porn Star Photoshop Contest" and a direct link to your wallpaper in the message. Be sure to PM me from the account you want to be participating with! Use TinyPic, ImageShack, Photobucket, LJ's Scrapbook, or any other online image hosting site to upload your image.
♦ Your wallpaper must have a resolution of at least 1280x800 (yes, that's the resolution of my laptop ♥). You are welcome and encouraged to make versions of your wallpaper at different resolutions, but at least one version must be 1280x800.
♦ You may submit as many wallpapers as you want to increase your chances of winning, however, no one can win more than once. For example, if someone submits three different wallpapers, and I pick one as the first place, the rest of that person's wallpapers will effectively be "thrown out," and they will not be eligible for the 2nd or 3rd place. So, regardless of how many wallpapers you submit, it will be impossible for you to dominate all top three places; three different people are guaranteed to make the top three.
♦ I will review the wallpapers and, along with a few of my friends, pick the winners.
♦ These top three wallpapers will be posted to the community for everyone to use and enjoy! ♥
guidelines:
Here's some things to keep in mind as you go about making this wallpaper:
♦ Jaejoong is dressed. We know this from the story. This means that 1) the photo you use cannot be of him topless, and 2) it must show enough of his body (at least his torso) that you can see he is indeed clothed.
♦ Changmin is a man. This may seem obvious, but it is an important factor to consider when making the wallpaper; what kind of wallpaper would Changmin use? He's a college-age male; it's unlikely that anything with an abundance of pastels or "girly" traits would be found on his desktop.
♦ Jaejoong is a porn star, not a singer, so any wallpapers of him obviously on stage/holding a mic/doing "singer"-things will likely not win.
♦ No other members of DBSK can be featured in the wallpaper. I'd think this would be a given for obvious reasons, but I'm just saying it now so no one complains later. XD
♦ Consider practicality. Changmin uses his laptop for school. Any wallpaper that's too "busy" (too many colors, too much "going on") will be a bit too distracting. Make use of white space!
♦ Nothing obscene, please. Let's not photoshop any penises into Jaejoong's hands for this, alright? XD Changmin probably takes his laptop to class or to the library, so no pics of Jae with a boner, either. :3 Basically, the pic needs to be worksafe.
♦ Keep theme of the wallpaper in mind. "Dressed and yet somehow not quite decent" is how the wallpaper's picture of Jaejoong is described in the story. Try to make your wallpaper reflect this!
♦ And, just for your information, I'm particularly fond of black. ♥
Keep these guidelines in mind and go for it! Use as many (or as little!) brushes and filters as you want. Alter the picture, change his eye color, add text or whatever you want! You can also use any hairstyle of Jaejoong's that you want as well; he doesn't have to be blond in this!

As mentioned above, the top three wallpapers will be posted to the community for members to enjoy and use. The first place winner will also get to choose a prize: either paid LJ time (or if you already have a paid LJ, you can choose more icons or more storage space),
or,
I will write you a fic (just a oneshot) of your choice. That's right: any setting, any plot, any pairing (within DBSK :3), and any rating you want! The fic will be posted to the comm with links to your winning wallpaper.
