My "About Me" page!
My name is Cathryn Page Whitt. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. I started riding horses when I was seven years old, and fell off soon after, but got back on and have been riding ever since. I have always been a total Daddy's girl ever since I was young. I never was into the whole Girl Scouts thing, so Dad and I did "Indian Princesses" togethere where we went camping and took lots of fun nature trips. :) I travled to California a lot because my Aunt and Uncle live there, and I absolutely love it! I attended two elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools because of the amount of schools they were building in the area, and the fact that we moved so much also. My parents also divorced when I was seventeen and both are remarried now.
I have a younger sister who's eighteen named Caitlin. She attends James Madison University and she is one of my very best friends. I also have a younger brother named Tyler who is now in high school and is growing up so fast it's amazing! He is the guy version of myself, haha.
I attend Virginia Tech and am studying Animal Science with Equine emphasis and Buisness Production. I want to work with horses: manage a barn, train horses, and possibly breed also. I am very much in love with Corgis too and plan on becoming a registered breeder upon graduation!
I have a wonderful boyfriend named Matt who is twenty-two, and we have been together since July 6, 2006. We knew each other in high school through mutual friends, but never really hung out until after my freshman year in college. We are fortunate enough to go to the same school. :) He is a Building Construction major at Tech and wants to be a general contractor when he graduates in 2009 with me. He lives about 45 minutes away from me at home, but I still make the long drive out to the country to be with him. I am really close with his family, who treats me like one of their own. He is my best friend in the whole wide world!
Some facts about me:
-I was engaged in high school to my boyfriend at the time, it was silly. Young and stupid is all I have to say!
-I am a member of Block and Bridle in college!
-I didn't start showing horses until last year in college and won first place in my first over-fences show. I always rode thoroughbreds from the race track and "retrained" them.
-I had a Corgi puppy named Jake that died last May from an accident and I miss him every single day.
