it's a sweet, sweet day today
when the temperature averaged between 11 to 16 degrees Celcius, and i went shopping in IKEA.
it was exactly like home.
all those pretty pretty showrooms with the nice furniture, cheap cheap stuff, aisles and racks of goodies that you almost can't resist putting into your shopping cart.
the best part was the shuttle bus ride from the middle of town to the store (which is a town away in Walldorf). took us 20 mins by that bus, as opposed to 50 mins by public transport and then walking.
as we got on the bus we smelt alcohol. at first i thought, must be some drunk guy spilling some alcohol here.
then i saw the vat of Glühwein, which is German wine heated with spices: mostly cinnamon and clove i think. yummy.
we had at least three glasses on the journey to and from the store. and then some girl dressed in the IKEA uniform held out a tin of biscuits. mmmm.
i got myself a table lamp and some hangers. and i also bought a set of speakers from a previous shopping spree.
