the drought in western north carolina is certainly over. i must say, i prefer a good solid thunderstorm to drippy rain.
it's difficult for me to remember that many people are not chipper in the morning. i don't know why this would be difficult, as i am the opposite of chipper when i wake, but i end up taking all kinds of things personally that are little more than the result of someone's brain chemistry. i have always been a grump. my mother used to call me, and still does, Grungetta. Grungetta was Oscar the grouch's girlfriend or sister or something on Sesame St.
my body is so glad i don't have to work today. i can prepare for the next two days of ka-zillions of pounds of dough.
