Shortly after I got home from class today, I spoke with a lady from the Illinois Institute of Art about what I was looking for in a school and what they had to offer, and it's actually sounding pretty neat. I think I'll compare it with some other schools (especially Columbia, since that's where I've been saying I'll transfer) sometime Thursday

1. Measure out and write down the length of each wall, the windows, and the dimensions of all the furniture.
2. Using graph paper, draw out the shape of the room, use each box as a specific unit of measurement, either a foot or half a foot. Mark doors and windows.
3. On another sheet of paper, draw out boxes that represent each piece of furniture and cut them out.
Now, you can move your furniture around easily and have a physical representation of what each thing might be like. As you do this, perhaps make a list of things you might want to purchase to help you organize. It's important, in organization, to know what you need organized and find what will fill that need, than start with organizational tools and try and get your belongings to fit what you've purchased.
