Kamakura
So I had one of the best days ever yesterday!
My host family took me and Joe to Kamakura (a little place near Tokyo that has a lot of temples and stuff) and they took us around the area and looked at temples. There is a daibutsu--or giant Buddha--out there that is really famous. Joe and I climbed up inside of it--it was pretty...umm...dark. That was about it :) But still--I climbed inside of a giant Buddha! We then went out to this little island called Enoshima and walked around a little, stopped at a cafe for a drink. Nothing particularly spectacular but we just had amazing weather so it was a wonderful day. My parents went home early and gave me and Joe money to get dinner and give us time to explore Kamakura a little bit on our own. So we had a nice evening just wandering around together and having dinner. The weather was just so great. Nothing amazing happened, it was just a really really good day.
Now back to class work. Or maybe just making up other things to do to avoid classwork...
