[Maria, like any little child, ran down to open her presents the minute she woke up.  It was Christmas!  It'd be fun, and maybe Santa would grant her wish!  She really wanted to see Mama, because Juri wasn't a very nice Mama and scared her and Sakutaro.

He granted it, all right.  Housemates will find her screaming and sobbing, bruises forming on her

[She's over in about two minutes, since they live so close to each other, with a knock on the door]

Maria-chan, are you inside?

[Maria opens the door, clinging to a rabbit plushie that was in her room. She smiles when she sees Kyrie, but it fades far too quickly.]

Uu-, M...Maria doesn't like Santa anymore...

[She kneels down to Maria and gently rakes her hand through the little girl's hair.]

That Santa wasn't the real one. He was a fake. Santa would never give a good girl like you something bad.

[Maria leans into Kyrie's comforting gesture, sniffling.]

F...Fake Santa is mean.

Did I? My, that's good to know. Would you like me to make you something to eat?

Would warm chicken soup be okay?

Uu-, uu-! With crackers, please.

[She doesn't seem... quite up to her normal level of cheerfulness, but it's far better than how she used to be.]

[She notices that, but says nothing and silently walks to the kitchen. About fifteen minutes later, she goes to the dining room with a hot bowl of chicken soup, with crackers on the side.]

It's still hot, so blow on it before you sip.

[Maria watches Kyrie instead of eating however, absent-mindedly furrowing her brow. If the Black Witch could still go after her here, maybe... maybe it could take control of someone else.]
