Maria is not happy.  It's almost Halloween and she's been cooped up the house trying to stay safe, but the prospect of her missing out on such an amazing holiday has left her far too frustrated.  At first it was fine, she was convinced the town would be fine because

[She frowns when she hears Maria's cries. Poor kid.]

Maria-chan, do you want me to come over?

Uuuuuuuu!

[That's... a yes.]

[She sighs.]

It'll be okay. Just give me a couple minutes.

[And as Kyrie says, she's there in just two minutes. Luckily they live just down the street from each other. When she arrives she'll ring the door bell, to distinguish herself from the hazmats who knock.]

[Maria grabs a chair in order to check through the peephole just in case, and as she's opening the door she tries her hardest not to keep crying... and fails miserably. Tears are streaming down her face and her sleeves are wet from wiping at her eyes.]

H-halloween...!

[enviousmath]

[She frowns when she sees the girl and kneels down to pat her head a little. You are now wishing Kyrie was your mom.]

Don't cry Maria-chan. [She goes into her coat and takes out a few chocolate candies that she found left in one of the pantries of her home, and holds them out to her the palm of her hand.] Everything will be okay, I promise.

[Oh Kyrie, again with hating on Mama? Maria totally didn't flinch at first, expecting a slap. Nope. And, upon being pat, she didn't relax or anything. It's all your imagination. Maria loves her Mama endlessly!

The candy brings a definite cheering up for Maria; she sniffles and takes one, looking up at Kyrie.]

R-really? K-Kyrie means it?

Yeah. Don't worry. I'll make sure it's over by then. [Because if her niece can't enjoy Halloween? Oh you bet your ass she's going to find some hazmats and shoot them for it.] Go ahead and eat some. Does your house need more food?

[Kyrie: Proof that marrying into the family doesn't save you from the crazies.

Maria eats the candy, wiping at her face with the back of a hand.]

N-no... Sakutaro won't let Maria eat everything she wants, s-so. Maria wants the Hazmats to go away...

[Kyrie was crazy before she ever married. Getting married just made it worse.

And again with the stuffed animal.]

Once they find that Russian they'll leave. Just please relax for now and don't cry. If they try to come in here I'll stop them.
