So as many of you may know I've been having major problems with my left ear. It had been infected about two weeks ago, I was given antibiotics (YES I AM SUPER CAREFUL ABOUT TAKING THEM AT THE PROPER TIME AND TAKING ALL OF THEM) and still had some problems. I finally went to see my doctor today, and she told me that I definitely have Otisis Externa (also known as Swimmer's Ear) and was really questioning the fact that the doctor at the clinic gave me the once over and gave me ORAL medication. If the infection I had last week was indeed an infection of the ear canal and not of the middle ear, then I should have been given antibiotic drops and not pills. Sigh. Ah well. That's just sometimes what happens.
Good part about this? I can drink beer this weekend with my brother and my dad because the antibiotic goes directly into my ear and the alcohol won't cause problems for its effectiveness! WOOHOO! :D
