So my mom left this morning to head home on an airplane, and I was very sad to see her go. We had an awesome time this passed few days. We went to various things such as the Montreal Ghost Tour, Saint Denis' shopping area, Saint Hubert's shopping arcade, Atwater market, a couple quilt stores, a couple knitting stores, and Pointe-Claire in west island. I wish I had taken pictures, but things are still kinda hectic at the new house so I just kinda forgot to bring my camera to a lot of the stuff we did. I can't tell you how happy I was hanging out with her this week. Whenever my mom comes we just seem to walk around and explore new areas of the city with yarn shops or quilt shops. It's always fun just shopping and exploring these things. It's really neat because when either of my parents come I can do neat and interesting different exploration things with them. I really am lucky to have such wonderful people as parents.
So once again, thanks for coming, Mom!
In other news I am reading the last two books of Harry Potter, again. My mom got me hooked on them again :p I just finished reading the sixth, and will start reading the seventh probably tonight at some point.
I also have found a good ball of flesh-tone yarn to make
amigurumi with from an awesome store in Montreal called
Mouliné. The place was really cool (near Atwater) and the owner was really quite helpful. He also boasted to me that they have the best prices on a couple yarns in North America (price check on Cascade 220, anyone? Because I think he's right in saying that :p). The group for the store is on Ravelry and apparently very lively. I am really hoping to do some classes or something there! We'll see I guess :) My yarn buddies down there in the states would go bonkers going into this store. They have Manos de Uruguay at rock bottom prices (9 bucks Canadian for 100g). Let me know if anyone wants me to buy anything for them and I can give it to you whenever I see you next :) ORRR we could get an awesome swap going on! That'd be fun! Who wants to do a lil' spaw for some fun!
Any ideas of what my first amigurumi should be? Someone pop some ideas here! If not there is always Ifurita... ;D
