and so it goes

so i finally got ahold of Jerome CLine, the HR manager at Stairways, the place where Im intending to do my internship out in Erie. Apparently he didnt get my info until Tuesday, and on Monday he filled the last two slots for interns. Yeah, wonderful.

So yesterday I called every single mental health institution, clinic, facility, service provider and left my name, number, and a brief message after the beep telling them how desperate I was, yet how qualified and what a wonderful background Mansfield has provided me with. no returned calls. *sigh

Today was a much better day though, considering I got 1 returned email, and 2 returned phone calls.. only leaving one facility that did not respond to my interest. I have to get my resume and a letter of intent to one place and Im going to personally deliver it to St Vincent hospital tomorrow when Im out in Erie, and the other two are basically waiting to see what stilla vailable and will call me if they find something. So I guess things are moving right along even though I thought it was the end of the world. St Vincent's looks promising, everyone else is almost full and said it was pushing the deadline considering I wanna do it next semester, and not the summer semester. So well see- I said late January to St Vincents, and they said okay. I guess its now jsut a waiting game.. so if I can stay calm and cool until Monday or Tuesday, Ill hopefully hear a good word eventually.

As for my department, I officially hate them and am blaming half of everything on them since they took so damn long to approve me. And thats that.

Tonight a bunch of my girlfriends are coming over cuz were training a mouse to run a maze through classical pavlovian conditioning. Then of course, we will be drinking, haha. So for now Im gonna go do some chores to make my apartment look a little less like the shit hole it actually is.

That is all.. I hope everyone out there is doing a little better than myself- but Ill keep my head up high and keep my nose to the grindstone (or so was my moms advice, haha)
