is EVERYONE having weird dreams?
i just woke up from a dream of my grandfather's house... with my granny and grandpa there... (vaguely... times i'd remember they were both gone, other times it was just natural for them to be there). and we were helping to clean up the kitchen... put everything back in it's place. and i remember very strongly taking some rotten stuff outside... and leaving it there because we didn't want the house to smell after everyone was finally gone (i vaguely think it was my grandfather's dog who had, oddly, been shot days before he died, but that's so morbid!) the house was more immaculent than i ever remembered it.
that was the oddest part of yesterday i think. my grandparent's house held so many memories... it was like this huge treasure trove of memories and cool antiques that my grandparents -- stoic and unbending as they were -- always let us use and play with and learn from. as we were going through the house yesterday it was this weird free for all... and my sister and i ended up inheriting some pretty cool stuff (i got a bunch of kitchen stuff and i wouldn't be surprised if my sister found some things of a lot of value -- sentimentally and otherwise)... books -- that home is where i first loved to read.
i could continue on... but the dream was so very... odd. at the end we all left (grandparents included) this sadly empty house.
anyway... aside from that... talked to Alfar last night who did STELLAR at the whiteshield tournament :) i was all beaming like a proud mom when he was telling me stories (yeah, i know comparing myself to a "mom" when talking about my boyfriend is creepy -- he hates it when i like my hand to wipe his face off too). i wish i could have been there...
