how do you feel?
so california is thinking about legalizing the marijuana. and while i still wouldn't smoke even if it were legal (the stuff does bad things to me... though i dearly miss it sometimes)... i have always been pro-legalization... except i will admit i have a problem with doing it right now, for the reasons they want to legalize it. Money seems to be the driving force behind the legalization of pot in cali... and i can't say that i approve of the precident that sets. the cause (or one of them anyway) behind making it an illegal substance was a moral one... and i don't know how i feel about ignoring one's moral beliefs for the sake of money (not that i find smoking pot immoral... i don't... but many people do). i feel that this is such an odd place for me to be in... but it makes me ask... what's next to be sacrificied? on the other hand, i'm all for making the economy better -- but if it's pot now... what's next (not just talking drugs, but other stuff too)... i believe they should legalize it for it's own sake.
