Iconses, preciousss
I was over at cereta's character love meme today, talking about SGA characters. John had already been covered, though I may go back and add some more about him, so I talked about Teyla and Ronon and why I love them. I realized during this that I have no Ronon icon, which was very distressing.
So I finally bit the bullet, paid for a couple months of LJ, and went up to 30 icon slots. Because I am weak and need more pretty pictures of Atlanteans in my life. (I am afraid this is a slippery slope - will I end up finding 30 inadequate? Will I, like so many others, fall into LJ's prettily baited trap?)
I re-uploaded some old icons, notably zen fen and penguins, and went wandering around SGA icon posts to pick up some more. Mostly I got John icons, strangely enough. Perhaps I have a little crush.* I also got one Rodney icon, which amuses me deeply; it reminds me a bit of a romance novel cover, except that what Rodney is holding and gazing soulfully at is a ZPM.
After all this, however, I still have no Ronon icon. Woe! Few were available, and none of them seemed quite right for me. I am also sadly lacking in team icons. I feel the urge to stake out livia100x100.
Anyone have any advice on where to find good SGA icons, other than keeping an eye on sga_newsletter and atlantis_icons?
* And by little, I mean "the size of the Pegasus Galaxy."
ETA: Now I have Ronon icons! Two of them, from Livia, who is a wondrous icon-maker and the source of much joy. I also got some more Teyla icons from her, just because. (My Teyla love is quite high at the moment. I wish I had a Teyla-centric epic to read. Maybe I'll go reread Three Lovers or Gifts Unasked For...)
