Just when I think my (working) life is interesting enough as it is, things *always* get even more complicated... Good thing that we generally end up giggling about it.

Had to do the most complicated ever press release today - three new films, three prints of Bond and two of Borat, one Talker, kids am... The screens were busy playing musical chairs.
And all on one sheet....... it would have been a hell of a lot easier to split the performance schedule in two, but no... we love a challenge (and it's a very good thing that I like puzzle games).
"Lessee...... Borat in 6 Thu to Tue, and Wed but not for the 8.20... That's in 10, because we have Bond at 8 instead... Departed in 9, but we might lose that to the interlock... And a totally different schedule for Borat on Thu, because we need the screen... and the Talker... WHERE is the Talker?? Oh, right, found it... What's the kids am this week?? Nothing here, can't be Open Season... Must email Matt..."
And so on.
Like that game where you have to push pieces around to make a picture... only more complicated.
Then the Film Buyer makes some last minute changes to the times for some reason known only to him and God Almighty - I apply the changes, and send the film times to the printers, film times come back to be approved, they get approved (because at this point I very much want to stop looking at the schedule) and sent back to the printers.

The Projection radioes me..................................................

The new film times have completely bolloxed the interlock screen - I am fairly confident that we won't need to interlock, but if we do - let's just say that I hope I won't end up upsetting somebody.

Cary (Projection) and I ended up in a fit of giggles when version #5 of the schedule arrived... I guess it's a better reaction than getting murderously angry.
It's like the Universe thinks it's funny to add more and more on our plate - and we are so tired we have started finding it funny. Lucky we have such a good team, really.

The one bit of good news is that I have cover for tomorrow, so I can have a day off - YAY!!
I desperately need some serious sleep.
