BUT SARAH I JUST REMEMBERED.
Origins: Wolverine is set 17 YEARS BEFORE X-MEN O_o;
So if Remy appears as part of Logan's past, that would make him OLD in the present (if say he was 20ish in the past).
The only scenario i'm thinking of that's still fine and that Gambit's his good age (meaning, around the same as Rogue XP SCREW OFF BOBBY! GO AND HAVE KITTY ALL YOU WANT.) goes along the lines of him meeting Logan somewhere (present time to whichever X movie and i'm imagining a bar in my head) and Remy's getting story time from Logan:
"Sit yourself down Gumbo"
"What y'want wit o' Remy? *pulls out chair and sits backwards on chair, props chin over elbows on chair backsupport*"
"-blablah wolvie talking about something related to present that links to past-, got a smoke on you Cajun?"
"Oui, n'ver leave home without dem."

The movie's cast is CONFIRMED. So this guy really IS gonna be (Or already IS) Gambit. *gasp* And it's gonna open May 2009. GAH. long long wait ;_; That's why I said i'd murder my heart with teasers they release.
