Everything Is Illuminated
I hate spring. It's such a tease. Always slipping you a little sunlight and then snatching it away just when you've gotten all hot and bothered. But the bits and pieces of sun have really improved my mood. It's strange, everyone talks about SADs in Alaska (you know it being dark and cold for like, 7 months) but I notice it here so much more....I guess it's just the lack of actual sun. In Alaska is may be dark and cold, but the colder it is the clearer it is, so even though it may only be for a few hours the sun is bright and brilliant. Here it seems like you can go for days without seeing the actual sun. Or maybe I am crazy. I'm just getting really excited about this summer; Sasquatch, and Vegas, bike riding, and camping, drinking on the beach, lazing in the park working on my future skin cancer.....and going home in August to Alaska and all the sun and weed and booze and friends I can handle. My mind is fully in summer mode and I'm just waiting for the sun to catch up with me.
