and it begins
welcome to my live journal, i'm Kidstandout aka david117. my interests in animation, albeit a side interest, stemmed from my love of the late 90's /early 2000's cartoon network shows. i grew up on ppgs, ed edd & eddy, courage, johnny bravo, cow and chicken and dexters lab. but after all the shows stop airing in 2007, i was forced to take refuge in the only show on the network that captured my attention, total drama. it was good in the first season, second season and on were terrible. everything from the shipping, which i took full part of being a big dxc supporter lolz, to the poorly written plots just made me sick. so i packed my bags and left. but one thing i thank that show for was introducing me to fanfiction, because i never would have rediscovered my first show that i really got into. and that was the Powerpuff girls.
part of the reason i was so into that show as apposed to a more "boy centric" show is that it appealled to all demographics. i'll never forget watching "The Rowdyruff Boys" with my brothers and sisters for the first time it aired. i also remember the arguement that ensued between us after said episode resulting in a reinactment lmao. but another thing that also brought me back was a really great fanfiction i've read called "More than Human". it completly changed my view on the shipping aspect of the ppg community. if your sick of out of character, out of context stories that take the girls and turn them into sex crazed bratz clones, this is the story for you. the characterizations of the girls, aswell as the rrb, are so close to canon that it even redefine my view on the characters aswell. a must read simply put. so now i'm completly involved in the community. i'm currently an admin for the ppg wiki and my fanfic "The Counterpart Saga Pt2" is still in progress. i'll keep touch and give more personal details about my interests next time.
