1. Wearing earplugs is an odd practice that produces small high-pitched ringing and breathy sensations of bones and other trappings of my internal universe.
2. German is cute. Mogernland = the oriental, Abendland = the occidental (morning-land and evening-land). Cute eurocentric geographical perspectives. There are many such other examples.
3. The French Lieutenant's Woman is what I consider to be the worst book in the history of all bad books, and even in the history of good ones.
