Because I was having difficulties, I decided to pay for a lens rental so that I could approach these subjects with a true macro lens. Safe to say that it was the closest I've ever gotten with a camera. Like every new tool, I realized in post what I could have done better. For macro, it's making sure you are on a completely stable surface. I have wooden floors and ANY movement whatsoever is transferred to the lens, especially in macro where camera shake can happen really easily. Anyways, these are some of the candidates I'm considering printing for the senior thesis show. (Note: The color of the background will be made homogeneous for the actual show, they're slightly different right now). These will be seen in probably a set of 5, face-mounted to plexi.
