derrick jefferies. So the weekend was not nearly as bad as my last post might have anticipated. I spent time with a dear friend whom I have much affection for and am gladdened to see him doing so well in school. We spent the entire weekend together getting food, getting drunk, getting entertained. We saw The Great Gatsby performed at the Rep and ate cryptic South American rip-off food. He played the guitar at one point (i thought he just played the paino) alongside his funny, but really charming, bjork voice. In fact I got to hear quite a few of my friends play guitar and sing original snogs and I was very impressed (Layne, i said I'd record them on my new minidisc and try to post them). My feelings for him are the most genuine but also the most fragile it seems. I try to not think ahead or think too much as I'm sure it would spoil things a little. I take it for what it is, what it has been for the past 2 years: a long, sporadic and pleasurable physical and friendly affair. This visit was especially interesting as he really seemed to be older, like a man rather than the 17/18 year old I met first, much more on par where I think I am. He's ambitious and has talent to match. His name is Devin and he's great.
