Aww, Satoshi! It's so true. Sometimes I feel like service to others is the only sustainable goal. (It's like what the other dentist in Ghost Town said!) That's one thing that I know I want to have in my career. I don't need to be famous or anything, I just wanna do good and be able to keep doing good.
I remember doing service activities, taking for granted that it was just something that everyone did. I didn't think it was anything particularly special, although ppl often praised it. I don't think serving my community should entitle me to special recognition...just the act of helping, on anyone's part, should be appreciated. I'm always happy to help ppl, knowing that I made a positive difference and someone's life a little less difficult. Even if it's just one person.
So, just a summary...Satoshi thanks everyone who wished him a happy bday~ And YAY!
(I take it that he read everyone's messages. I sent one last night. If you sent it in English, maybe Shuu helped him out. =X Hmm. But it seems like Satoshi's English has improved.)

And I really liked this last part, it seems like it can't be said enough:

そんな言葉聞く度に俺は救われます。
今までなんの取り柄も無くて何も出来なかった俺が誰かの心を動かせる。
それだけで、この道を選んで間違えじゃなかったんだって思える。
もっと多くの人の心に響くように。
そして、誰かの心を救えるように。
精一杯頑張ります。

This part is really cheesy, but I still like it. X3 I swear they can only say this stuff in their blogs.
He says that even someone as useless as him can move ppl emotionally.
Choosing this path was the right thing to do, and he can believe that now.
He wants to be able to resound in ppl's hearts and save them.
Music is a self-sealing loop for him, and when he gives it out...he gets it back 10-fold. And it just keeps going. I hope it keeps going. :)
...Such a long entry. He hasn't had one of those in awhile. XDDD
In other news, workity-workity-work. From 7am-4pm, full time...and then full-time school. It's enough to be physically dead. Welcome/Farewell party tmrw...the guy I'm replacing is retiring. He seems like the most even-tempered sales guy on the floor. I actually wanna get there at 6am and leave at 3pm, so I have more time to myself...I guess I can when I'm more experienced.
I took a nap after work...and now I'm refreshed enough to work on my midterm projects. DX Last day of school is 12/18...Just 2 more months! And my first semester of grad school will be over. I'm not expecting stellar grades, but I am expecting to learn some useful stuff for the future.
