The tracks I recommend are: 4. melt; 5. lizard; 6. the whirl & 7. vernie.
The ones that are nicely sandwiched in the middle for your listening pleasure. Some noticeable differences are the guitar effects at the intros and throughout the songs. Also, Hazuki layers his voice...like clean & hard vocals overlapping each other, which explains why Hazuki is credited as "Voices".
Besides the Engrish hurdles you find along the way, it's good to see the actual lyrics...since I still don't own "underneath the skin". And finally!! lyrics for "pulse_"...and this is why we love Hazuki. He put the lyrics upside-down AND backwards. Just to fuck w/ us.
I really dig his maniacal laughter. I guess that's what I look for in a vocalist. Can you laugh like a monster?...and make me scared, yet laugh along at the same time. :D And they added the slurpy sound in "lizard"...good to see it finally crossing over. "melt" is seriously beautiful. "vernie" changed...no weird intro, but it has the double-layered voice thing that I like. I really think it sounds creepy. I wonder how that'll translate at lives..."the whirl" is also gorgeous cuz of the vocalization.
I think Reo really got toe-happy w/ his effectors. I always notice him fiddling w/ them on stage, but he must have bought some new ones to play with. I imagine they're in rehearsals right now figuring out how to play their old songs, but in their new way. And I guess, it does sound richer w/ the twin guitars. But I think the star of the show is Asanao. His drumming is popping all over the damn place.
I'll be the first to admit this is just a scam to re-release things and cover themselves hidden behind the good intentions of allowing fans to finally own copies of their out-of-print releases. But...who cares?! The new production is closer to how they are at lives now, anyway. And their old stuff is retardedly difficult to get your hands on. No joke. To be honest, I think that even this release will sell out in a bit. If you don't have your hands on it already, or have the means to buy it...maybe you'll never get it. D: Could they ever just think of pressing more CDs?
The live digest: 1min - stage entrance; 3.5min - I'm sick,b'cuz luv u; 3.5min - the universe. Fin. VERY SHORT...but we finally have some moving images of the band in action. So many good shots of Junji cuz he's right next to Hazuki (hmm, Hazuki does bass on the CD...and I wonder if Junji can't join the band cuz Hazuki wants to keep doing the bass? D: How terrible would that be? Poor Junji.). Ahhh...the world will finally know Junji. This makes me happy. Or maybe it was the 2 chu-hi I had w/ Kirtland earlier, but whatever. Warm & fuzzy. :D Asanao is just his normal log-self. Hazuki is Hazuki...the world will finally know your lynch. form. And everyone can see his belt falling off his skinny ass.
I can tell where I am in the video because I see scathacha's blond bun-ness. :) I would rip the video, but hell if I wanna go through that again tonight. Plus, it's only gonna be this big huge .vob file that's 300mb cuz I can't for the life of me reduce the size. I need to watch it again.
I feel so lucky that I get to see them on 11.11; Nagoya is sold out, so I can't go anyway and 11.20 is the same day as UnsraW. Anyway, I'll put all my energy into November 11th. I got a lynch. pen and a lynch. 6mo calendar poster as extras from Likea.

[edit]: The last band to be added on to the Christmas Eve live is Dolly. *-* Yey!! D.o.l.l.y. I always miss them here in Osaka. I think I saw them once out of all the times they've played while I've lived here. But I see them in other cities. *sigh* Dolly & the Big Teddy Bear.

*deepbreath* I seriously think it would be a deep loss if Tenten could never sing again. Not quite on the scale of Julie Andrews for the world, more just for the VK scene. Still though. It can be fixed. We can be happy for that. *-*
