"Fool's Fest 07" extra-STAGE osaka
Yea...okay, so before the concert...actually, I had to work. So from 10am-6pm...then I hauled ass to Umeda. And got there close to 6:30...what w/ all the walking from Umeda to Holiday. And the slowness of the Japanese. I had changed clothes before the last class at 5pm, and then I wore my work clothes over it. My pants have gotten big enough on me, that I can wear a pair of jeans underneath them. =O
I wore my tie-dyed UnsraW shirt, which I need to take a picture of...but won't now cuz it's in the laundry. I made it w/ joyama_suguru a couple days before the oneman. =) And I wore it to the backstage signing thing. I still need to write about Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Tokyo again. I think I'll do that after this entry. I guess I'll update w/ pictures later...just finish the text now. And then maybe do a photo entry. Hyaa~
YEA!! UnsraW played 8th!! out of 12 bands. *_* How lucky of me. Of the bands yesterday, I got to see D=OUT (who are on Speed Disk now), hurts (who are hurting less), Arc, NeGa, Anjyu', and Bergerac. I wish I had seen Karuto, since they're disbanding. By the end of the night, they were all just chilling at their booths. Same w/ Pashya. They're disbanding too...Io was just chilling and hawking shit. Man. Bands that don't have staff...that must suck.
I got there during the break time before D=OUT (pronounced "doubt"). I'm glad I got to see them, but it was my first time seeing/hearing them...so I just wanted to see what they were like. Next time, I'll participate. I just knew that UnsraW wasn't up yet...and so I didn't move forward.
I'm glad I didn't get into the venue mid-set...I got to Holiday, and saw band guys standing just across the way. And then went down the spiral staircase to the venue. So many girls smoking. It seemed like I couldn't avoid Super Yuuki Fan all night! Not that I don't like her or anything...but I always crossed paths w/ her. And the other UnsraW saizen as well...wtf. Well, Holiday is small. I went to the restroom, and Jun fan followed me in...WTf? Well, she's human...but still. And it's interesting to see the saizen w/ ALL BLACK HAIR now. Usually, Tetsu Fan has dark blond hair and Shou Fan had the light brown crimp thing going on. And they were hella dressed down. It was just a very different UnsraW experience tonight.
Anyway, I asked Kaori...who hisashiburi'd me, when UnsraW was gonna play...she said after the next band. Who ended up being hurts. I chatted up a foreigner (there were some others too, but this one was alone). I asked her who she was here to see...and she said hurts. I think she left after their set. I don't like hurts. They hurt. And rip off KoRn...but the fidget-size singer tries to be sexy during some songs. Lemme just say, they're not lookers. But if I close my eyes, I think I can enjoy their music on CD. Yea. The drumsticks the drummer threw out were beat to shit. Damn.
Okay...so hussle to the front. It seemed like UnsraW's saizen wasn't full tonight. I was standing on Rai's side cuz there was much more space compared to Tetsu/Jun. Tetsu Fan ran over to ask me if I wanted to be in Saizen. It's the first time she's ever talked to me. O_O I've had Jun fan talk to me a couple of times. And Yuuki Fan and even Super Yuuki Fan. So it was like an out-of-body experience. So, I got to be kamite...2nd from the right. Afterwards, Ramona was asked and she was kamite 3, I suppose that'd be called. Dead in front of Rai. Haha. Good for her. I kinda wanted to be closer to Yuuki's side, but oh well. At least, I was saizen. Real saizen...not like at the oneman or at Holiday Shinjuku that one time.
The setlist...SE, LUST, DRAIN, and Warai Oni. Did they play one more? Kaori said they played Dust to Dust...but that song is always so vague in my mind. It's good, but it always sounds like a really long intro to me. LUST *_* I'm questioning whether they played that now. I think I should trust myself...cuz he totally sang that "I'm gonna fuck you!" shit. Haha.
They came out one by one...Shou, Jun, Tetsu, Rai, and then Yuuki. I like it when Shou has the dark make-up and doesn't look so cute. Rai is always prettied...don't even think about making him look scary. Tetsu was Tetsu and Jun was Jun. Yuuki had the cornrows I wish I could have, and then...the gold glitter lip gloss of gyaru-love. Even my own alliteration astounds me. But it was almost all gone by the end of the night. And guess what...he's started to wear fishnet sleeves under his shirt to cover his upper arms. Boy is getting self-conscious.
There was a lot of hurling myself over the bar. Holiday's bar...of which I have very little experience...is just a really tall fence: footstep height, long vertical bars, and then hand rest. It's actually quite hard to get yourself all the way over...unless you hold onto the stage or something. Man it was fun. I got to see Rai a lot, of course...who just smiles so retardedly the whole time. Is that mean to say? He's not dark at all. There were a few times when Jun came over...and Tetsu came over once. No Shou of course.
But Yuuki Yuuki Yuuki. Not so many water bottles tonight...I think he only threw out 2. He wanted to step on top of Rai's speakers...but the way they're triangularly shaped...it tipped over. He fell in between the stage and the bar. And the speaker landed smack dab on the knee I had extended out. Holy mother fucking christ! That hit me so hard. He hit it so hard. And he still attempted a half-dive over Ramona. She backed up and there was nothing to support his waist. At least it wasn't a complete failure though. He is really squishy in the mid-section. I think that's where his birthmark is as well.
The Holiday staff girl had to come and pick up the speaker. My knee still aches. I didn't find out how badly I was injured until I went home and changed. It did feel sore the whole night...but damn. I have imprints of the speaker...that fence-like design, on the top of my knee...and just to left of it, a 10yen size bruise that is a deeper reddish-purple than normal. Bordering on that icky bluish color. As long as it's not green and yellow, I think I'm good. Those bruises take longer to heal. And then there are 3 regular-shade bruises around them. The speaker design is what really shocked me. Cuz it's like I have mini-diamond-shape abrasions. They were clearer last night. Heal faster. Onegai-shimasu.
Warai Oni is their best closing song. They should know that. Being on the bar for that was the least painful Warai Oni EVAR!! The ones getting injured are in 2nd/3rd row. Woohoo! No bony shoulders ramming into me! But on the bar, I felt like I couldn't headbang as freely. The space is more limited. And for the whole set, I was just standing on the bar. Sometimes, just the one foot. It was a lot of fun though. Despite injuries. I wonder if Yuuki was hurt. He seemed to walk off okay.
I also think I broke one of those saizen rules where you gotta hold onto the spot until after the next saizen takes your place. =____=;;; Oops. It's not like anyone is gonna take it anyway. We all know the fucking rules. Geez. So, I just bolted. *shrug* I grabbed my shit which was set in front of the 2nd wave breaker. And went to pick up a few polaroids. I typically buy 3...depending on how I feel, I will buy more. I think the most I ever bought was 8. I bought 3 this time: Shou, Yuuki, and Tetsu. Good haul. No repeats. Ramona bought like 40. X_X Dude...that's like 2man right there. I don't have that kinda petty cash. Even saizen only buys like 2 or 3. Just for fun. And they trade or what not. I was looking through her collection later that night. And goddamn...it's a bag full...from just one trip. Something about UnsraW makes ppl go crazy about polaroids, huh?
I made a photo album for UnsraW from the instore photos. I got a free album when I got the pictures printed. There were 22 pics total (I included the blurry ones), and 40 slots total...so I took little slips of paper from another album I have. And wrote little notes for them. :) Just like random captions. That were at least funny to me. I finished it up at work...and didn't end up taking any pics of it. I handed it to Yukie w/ some fireworks. The fireworks were just something I found in the apt that someone must have left behind. They should still work, right? >.> I forgot to stick the puri Jane & I took in the book, so I had to ask for it back. At that point, Yukie was already flipping through it. D: I felt so bad asking for it back. =-= I think she was amused. She also asked me about my shirt, and I asked if I had painted it myself...yup. Jun fan asked me the same question when we were demachi-ing. She is like excessively giddy. I can't explain it.
I also showed it to Kaori before I handed it off. She didn't get a chance to go to the instore, even though she went to the oneman. Her Tetsu fan friend asked if she could use her keitai to take pics of Tetsu, and I let her do that...whatever. Not a big deal. She was freaking out over his stone-faced cuteness. This is when I discovered that Kaori is more of a Jun fan than Yuuki fan. I guess you can say everyone's a Yuuki fan, so saying that is meaningless. I would still say I'm a Yuuki fan, first and foremost. Kaori's sister nearly pissed herself squeeing over how cute Shou was. They didn't have an enquette tonight, so I just wrote something in the back of the book and stuck our purikura there.
Then, there was Arc. Ko~ji's special announcement...I heard it correctly. Basically, after October...they're on hiatus. I think it's cuz they prb can't afford the hectic lifestyle. ;_; I like Arc's personality more than NeGa's...because they have some. And kanashimi_blue wanted to see them this winter break. What are we to do?! Maybe Tenten will have something going on? If there's any countdown/Christmas live I wanna go to...it's one w/ Tenten at it. Followed, by UnsraW and the like. Are lynch./giru/sadie gonna have a winter thing? All 3 seem to go hand-in-hand lately. Anyway, Arc was fun...they didn't look like their new photo shoot. I could see both of Yuki's eyes. Damn. >.> I think it would have been more fun had they not announced such bummer news.
As the night dragged on, more and more ppl exited the livehouse. =/ NeGa...what are we gonna do w/ you? I stood 2nd row in front of SAN. I swear, I can't even look at these boys. I'm just gonna listen to their music. Like their namesake, I think they have negative personality...which really sucks! Cuz their music is good. Or at least, it used to be better...their new stuff is kinda ~_~...But they played quadrangle and kabe. They must always play kabe!
Anjyu'...can't believe they played 2nd to last. They always seem to play in the first half...but I dunno if that means they're getting more popular or what. Tonight's bands were a mish-mash of Osaka/Nagoya/Tokyo...from what I could tell. I don't know the names of their songs, but they did the sprinkler-clap song where you wave your hands forward in a sprinkler side-to-side motion. Haha. And yes. The flowers on Juki's vest are bigger than his head. Hina-sama's new haircut is cute, but I miss his old cut. Yukki's new outfit is incredibly cute w/ the bow cut-out camisole. And Yoshi is as hosty as ever. I swear, their SE name call is the most hilarious shit ever. It's like they got some white guy to do it.
Bergerac played last w/ no encore. =/ That was a bit crappy. Their set was really good though. I think they've outgrown Holiday, in regards to their performance...not of their crowd pull. I stood center...like halfway between the stage and the 2nd breaker. Itsuki was creepy as usual. :) Tatsuha wasn't visible apart from his head...from where I was standing. At one point, Itsuki went over and bent down to Tatsuha's height. Cute.
I forgot when I got my drink...but it was coke. I never order alcohol at Holiday Osaka...dunno why. Ramona really wanted to try for some more polaroids...cuz Rai was just not coming out that night. I think she bought like 10 more, so a total of 40-something. @_@ WHY?!... Well, I guess it is her last show...but WHYYYY?! I swear, I would just buy shit for myself if I had that much $$$. Fuck UnsraW polaroids. Only some have good poses. I always get bummed when it's some deadpan face. I guess w/ Tetsu...it's always like that, so can't complain. And w/ Jun, you can't even see his face. Haha. Yea. Otsukaresama'd Yukie...and then proceeded to leave.
I've noticed recently that Holiday hasn't put cones out. There were HELLA ppl waiting around. I thought saizen had left...but they were just chilling. o_O Well, not chilling...cuz it's still rather hot. I was so sticky. If I were them, I'd stay in the venue w/ the aircon. But I suppose they watched the boys load up their van...considering they had the time to do that...what w/ 4 bands playing after them.
The show ended at about 10pm, and then I took Hankyu home around 11pm. Yea. I stayed. I actually think Holiday is a good location to demachi cuz it has a unique structure...all the bands hafta come out onto the main street. And you can just see everyone. There was NeGa, Anjyu', Bergerac...and other bands I didn't see. I saw some boys just passed out in their cars. Haha. Long day, I suppose. Saw license plates from all over. We had to walk in a circle cuz the staff eventually started shooing ppl away.
Holiday is directly under Sam & Dave's...so while I was waiting, I saw another Nova teacher and talked to him before he started his shift at the club. Whoa!! Yea. Interesting. UnsraW's van is slightly beat up...and I saw them pull out from behind the back, and park off to the side. They were queuing after the other vans. Shou was driving...his hair was still did. And Tetsu was wearing his hat...and smoking like a train. He really is cute overload w/o makeup. It's mostly his expressions...They were both prb thinking about food.
Looking back...I think the other 3 members were in the car already. Prb passed out or something. I never saw them exit from the side door of the building. Only Tetsu & Shou helped the staff girls haul stuff into the van. I guess the equipment was already in. A few of the saizen girls were waiting up on the stairs...waiting for the van to pass. At one point, the side door was open for the girls to get in...and I could totally see the other members. Ramona wanted to give Rai some stones to put in his liquor or something. You use the stones as ice as to not water down your alcohol. That's a good idea, I guess. So I guess the phrase "On the rocks"...might really have originated from actual rocks.
*sigh* Ramona didn't have the guts to give Rai the rocks. I was like..."This is your last time seeing UnsraW for a long while. HE'S LEAVING! Just give it to him." But no dice. She wouldn't budge. So I fucking took her rocks and knocked on the door. It felt rather ballsy...but I was just DDDDDX!!! I'm gonna throw the rocks at the van! (_ _) Rai opened the door...and was hella super confused. I had so much Japanese coming out of me...some of my tenses go messed up. I handed him the rocks...and explained them in a rush. I think he was damn near confused after I said they were rocks. Blah blah blah. Otsukaresama. =_____= That was mentally taxing. It was cute how he had her lion though. Fucking huge lion. And before they pulled away, only to stop again at the bottom of the stairs...Tetsu gave me an O_O look. Like holy shit. Japanese.
Ramona left her stuff across the way, and went to grab it. I had to go. Before UnsraW finally left...I was already bolting up the steps like I got shit to do and places to be. Dude! 11pm in Umeda. Not exactly dangerous, but not exactly safe either. I was glad I had enough iPod juice to last me all the way home. XD I hate it when it runs out. My phone was dead half way through the live though. =/ Tetsu updated by the time I got home. How nice. :)

Tenten had a session live today. :D I hope that went well. He has an event live in October, and in November. I hope those go well too. I created benii for his new band. Except not much is happening yet. I suppose I could do blog translations on it when I have time. Yea? Haha. Sure. I still need to write that oneman report, and upload Yamu Sora. Gomen. I think I was the only foreigner who went. I can still remember it so vividly...but I can't quite remember the other members' names. Good thing he introduced them on his blog already. HAha.

What are we to do?! Maybe Tenten will have something going on? If there's any countdown/Christmas live I wanna go to...it's one w/ Tenten at it. Followed, by UnsraW and the like. Are lynch./giru/sadie gonna have a winter thing? All 3 seem to go hand-in-hand lately. Anyway, Arc was fun...they didn't look like their new photo shoot. I could see both of Yuki's eyes. Damn. >.> I think it would have been more fun had they not announced such bummer news.
As the night dragged on, more and more ppl exited the livehouse. =/ NeGa...what are we gonna do w/ you? I stood 2nd row in front of SAN. I swear, I can't even look at these boys. I'm just gonna listen to their music. Like their namesake, I think they have negative personality...which really sucks! Cuz their music is good. Or at least, it used to be better...their new stuff is kinda ~_~...But they played quadrangle and kabe. They must always play kabe!
Anjyu'...can't believe they played 2nd to last. They always seem to play in the first half...but I dunno if that means they're getting more popular or what. Tonight's bands were a mish-mash of Osaka/Nagoya/Tokyo...from what I could tell. I don't know the names of their songs, but they did the sprinkler-clap song where you wave your hands forward in a sprinkler side-to-side motion. Haha. And yes. The flowers on Juki's vest are bigger than his head. Hina-sama's new haircut is cute, but I miss his old cut. Yukki's new outfit is incredibly cute w/ the bow cut-out camisole. And Yoshi is as hosty as ever. I swear, their SE name call is the most hilarious shit ever. It's like they got some white guy to do it.
Bergerac played last w/ no encore. =/ That was a bit crappy. Their set was really good though. I think they've outgrown Holiday, in regards to their performance...not of their crowd pull. I stood center...like halfway between the stage and the 2nd breaker. Itsuki was creepy as usual. :) Tatsuha wasn't visible apart from his head...from where I was standing. At one point, Itsuki went over and bent down to Tatsuha's height. Cute.
I forgot when I got my drink...but it was coke. I never order alcohol at Holiday Osaka...dunno why. Ramona really wanted to try for some more polaroids...cuz Rai was just not coming out that night. I think she bought like 10 more, so a total of 40-something. @_@ WHY?!... Well, I guess it is her last show...but WHYYYY?! I swear, I would just buy shit for myself if I had that much $$$. Fuck UnsraW polaroids. Only some have good poses. I always get bummed when it's some deadpan face. I guess w/ Tetsu...it's always like that, so can't complain. And w/ Jun, you can't even see his face. Haha. Yea. Otsukaresama'd Yukie...and then proceeded to leave.
I've noticed recently that Holiday hasn't put cones out. There were HELLA ppl waiting around. I thought saizen had left...but they were just chilling. o_O Well, not chilling...cuz it's still rather hot. I was so sticky. If I were them, I'd stay in the venue w/ the aircon. But I suppose they watched the boys load up their van...considering they had the time to do that...what w/ 4 bands playing after them.
The show ended at about 10pm, and then I took Hankyu home around 11pm. Yea. I stayed. I actually think Holiday is a good location to demachi cuz it has a unique structure...all the bands hafta come out onto the main street. And you can just see everyone. There was NeGa, Anjyu', Bergerac...and other bands I didn't see. I saw some boys just passed out in their cars. Haha. Long day, I suppose. Saw license plates from all over. We had to walk in a circle cuz the staff eventually started shooing ppl away.
Holiday is directly under Sam & Dave's...so while I was waiting, I saw another Nova teacher and talked to him before he started his shift at the club. Whoa!! Yea. Interesting. UnsraW's van is slightly beat up...and I saw them pull out from behind the back, and park off to the side. They were queuing after the other vans. Shou was driving...his hair was still did. And Tetsu was wearing his hat...and smoking like a train. He really is cute overload w/o makeup. It's mostly his expressions...They were both prb thinking about food.
Looking back...I think the other 3 members were in the car already. Prb passed out or something. I never saw them exit from the side door of the building. Only Tetsu & Shou helped the staff girls haul stuff into the van. I guess the equipment was already in. A few of the saizen girls were waiting up on the stairs...waiting for the van to pass. At one point, the side door was open for the girls to get in...and I could totally see the other members. Ramona wanted to give Rai some stones to put in his liquor or something. You use the stones as ice as to not water down your alcohol. That's a good idea, I guess. So I guess the phrase "On the rocks"...might really have originated from actual rocks.
*sigh* Ramona didn't have the guts to give Rai the rocks. I was like..."This is your last time seeing UnsraW for a long while. HE'S LEAVING! Just give it to him." But no dice. She wouldn't budge. So I fucking took her rocks and knocked on the door. It felt rather ballsy...but I was just DDDDDX!!! I'm gonna throw the rocks at the van! (_ _) Rai opened the door...and was hella super confused. I had so much Japanese coming out of me...some of my tenses go messed up. I handed him the rocks...and explained them in a rush. I think he was damn near confused after I said they were rocks. Blah blah blah. Otsukaresama. =_____= That was mentally taxing. It was cute how he had her lion though. Fucking huge lion. And before they pulled away, only to stop again at the bottom of the stairs...Tetsu gave me an O_O look. Like holy shit. Japanese.
Ramona left her stuff across the way, and went to grab it. I had to go. Before UnsraW finally left...I was already bolting up the steps like I got shit to do and places to be. Dude! 11pm in Umeda. Not exactly dangerous, but not exactly safe either. I was glad I had enough iPod juice to last me all the way home. XD I hate it when it runs out. My phone was dead half way through the live though. =/ Tetsu updated by the time I got home. How nice. :)

Today we had a live at Holiday OSAKA.
It's been awhile since we've had a one-stop live; it was a rather refreshing feeling.!
Our set was short, but it was a hot live!

Tenten had a session live today. :D I hope that went well. He has an event live in October, and in November. I hope those go well too. I created benii for his new band. Except not much is happening yet. I suppose I could do blog translations on it when I have time. Yea? Haha. Sure. I still need to write that oneman report, and upload Yamu Sora. Gomen. I think I was the only foreigner who went. I can still remember it so vividly...but I can't quite remember the other members' names. Good thing he introduced them on his blog already. HAha.
