I Got an Internship!!!!!
Guess what?!
Yep, I got a full-time internship for the summer term. I'm really excited about it and so far I am really enjoying it. Of course, it's only been a week but I feel like I am actually contributing somewhat. All my coworkers are really nice and seem to go out of their way to answer any questions. Hopefully, I can become well respected and prove that I'm a hardworker, even if I am clueless to how to make a journal entry! (Kidding) I'm still a bit uneasy with the new work environment (takes a bit of an adjustment to to get a feel of the atmosphere but it seems like everyone is able to joke around some while accomplishing the required tasks). The only draw back about the internship is that it's full-time, which means that I can't take summer classes. At the moment, I am on the wait list for an evening course. Hopefully, I will get in but there's about 5-6 other individuals waiting too. Due to the state's educational budget deficit, four year universities are required to raise tuition by 9.75% (Yuck!) and are forced to have a state-wide educational hiring freeze. Therefore, they won't be adding another class. ;0(
As for the medical aspect, I recently received my authorization. I just now have to schedule an appointment and cancel the one in Birmingham. I'm not sure how soon I can see my new nephrologist nor do I know how I am going to schedule an appointment with my work load. I refuse to miss work since i just started. Oh well, it will work itself out.
