I'm usually good at picking up craft skills, but working with a crochet hook just hasn't clicked for me yet. I'm pretty frustrated and I have tons of amigurumi ideas that I want to crank out. In the meantime, I'm working through several cross stitch designs. I'm sticking with the video game genre for a while, as it translates directly to this medium. I'm entering full screen designs for both the county and state fairs next summer, just for giggles.
I also thought of something I could make for OpenSource's Birthday Suit art clothing sale, but the problem is that you have to make a run of five of each piece, due by Dec. 3. That would mean pretty much giving up on NaNo now to even have a chance at finishing, so I don't think I'll do it.
