The concept of Study Hall is kind of ridiculous to begin with. They assign us a mandatory hour to spend working, writing, or generally studying, hence the name. In reality, Study Hall is a simply social period of time, like recess for high schoolers. Students use this time to talk to friends, make phone calls, play cards, or otherwise NOT STUDY. My study halls are rare because I often spend time in the Band Room helping the Concert Band play. Once a week, however, I spend my time in either the scenic "lower dining hall", or the tech-savvy media center, from which I'm writing now.
Although my original intention was to find information for American Studies, the correct information was not available, so here I am writing in my journal. The media center is supposed to be here for LEARNING. What do I see here? Tetris, Counter-Strike, an Othello table, and of course, the screen before me representing my lack of actually study material.
Nevermind the bullocks,
