super fuckin productive

so i'm enrolled in project 168 right now. they did this 3 times in 2005 and this is the first time they've done it since. the basic idea is that everyone that wants to do it signs up, they have a date set, and they email you telling you when to start working on an ep, and they email you a week (168 hours) later telling you when to stop. there's no voting, no winners, no prizes. it's just an exercise in productivity. all the eps are posted to the site once its done.

it started sunday night and ive already got a really great 4 minute track done.

other reasons why this is productive and awesome:

1) kkrusty's birthday party / show is coming up and i'll finally have some new material to play

2) my friend kevin and his friend calbee (real name unknown) are starting a 7" record label, and calbee is trying to get the ball rolling, and this weekend in minneapolis called kevin about it and they asked if i could have a 7" ready for them to put out in a couple of weeks. the track i have done right now is definitely something i'd put out on vinyl. i should be able to write at least one other great track for the b side. and god damn i'll actually have my own 7"!

besides the black rubber one under my bed

and around the same time as the 7" my 8bit peoples ep will come out!

fuckin 2009 forever
