So I sip on a warm cup of mint green tea on this cool January evening with my Philosophy book in hand. Tonight I am calm as can be. The calmest I ever was since the year started. Days ago, I've been feeling restless, uneasy and admittedly violent. Yet, on this particular day, everything seemed to look up.
School.
Friends.
Family.
My faith.
EVERY.SINGLE.THING.
A B+ in the PolSci paper
Sir Lim saying that we're allowed to bring notes on the PolSci Long Exam on Thursday
Marc telling me that Sir Lib's Theo Orals were of no pressure at all
Lit and Film Class with three other Amigas (ENOUGH SAID)
Exchanges of quick glances with that beautiful boy
The time the class enlisted contemporary values (a winner moment during Media Law class)
Going home to see everyone in the family in a good mood
And then this...
The Holidays may be over but I had received one last surprise for the Holidays. Thank you Lola Angel Woman. Pleasant, sweet, honest and encouraging in every sense.
I like this overall feeling.
Of enjoying life for the way it is.
Of appreciating the simplest of gestures, the most random moments.
Of finding something memorable in each of them.
Maybe I should've figured this out long ago. Perhaps I may have spared myself from moments of despair and self-pity.
