I started this year with unleashing tears, dwelling with loneliness, being the sap that I used to be, or probably still am. I had neglected people the past year and forgot about the importance of family. How they've always been there for me, among others. I ended the celebration with a prayer, begging the Lord for a better year.
I called. He answered.
JANUARY
Ah yes, the return to the Alma Mater after three years. There's nothing like the bond shared by friends who have known each other for so long. Doi. Haha. The AVR, the ten-peso shakes, the reliving of Litmus contests. Jologs talaga mga taga-Holy. And I love it.
FEBRUARY
The pains of the second semester of junior year. 15 units of sleepless nights due to study. I kid you not. And I'm glad to have shared the crucial months of that semester with these crazy people. We're rarely complete and this makes these photos worth cherishing.
MARCH
When it all started to hype up. When we all finally started with our walk towards Him and when the real purpose of dancing came to be. That. And I was given the opportunity to be the CADs EVP. Thank you Lord
APRIL
I remember shuffling to and from Novaliches to Antipolo to Katipunan and back to Novaliches. It was my last summer vacation so might as well enjoy it doing two things close to my heart. Dancing and working in a television network. And oh, another thing. My duty as an officer began. Another significant event in my life was the JZone summer camp, 24/7. Three days of friendship, fun and faith.
MAY
This was during the peak of the NBA Playoff Season, when I'd go to the office restlessly waiting for the next Suns-Spurs match. Of course, summer training still wasn't over.
It was during this month that my folks celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. It's been a while since we all went out of town, since we're all so busy. And the heck, 25 years of marriage is a milestone!
JUNE
Before my last schoolyear kicked in, the JZone Ateneo team (who I miss dearly) had a team building session and Tagaytay Highlands daytrip. We all think the Cortez brothers were born with abs.
AND SO..SENIOR YEAR BEGINS!
OrSem 2007: SoundCheck.
And I'm pretty sure all seniors felt nostalgic that day. Do you remember YOUR OrSem? ESCUDO!
JULY
The Official CADs School Year begins. This early on, the Lord has already blessed us with wonderful new friends and an unexpected victory.
AUGUST
THESIS MADNESS! THESIS SPARTA!
The torture begins. Nah. It wasn't that bad. Marfy, AA, Flaming Wings and Chocolate Kiss?:)
SEPTEMBER
I guess it was a blessing that we were not allowed to stage a Showcase concert because somehow, I was able to manage shuffling to and from rehearsals and thesis research/writing. Rhythm in Blue had a lot of first for CADs. For one thing, it wasn't the usual Showcase concert and it was on a Wednesday. Funny, really. But it was all worth it.
AND MAXIMUM GROOVITY. Yet another unexpected victory. The Lord is good.
OCTOBER
October started out with a humbling experience for CADs. Nonetheless we are thankful for the challenges we had, the trials, the secrets and whathaveyous within the Skechers Elims team.
October also happens to be my birthday month but I don't have photos from my birthday! Hahahaha. Actually I haven't transferred them yet. They're in the other computer.
Goodbye 19, Hello 20.
Goodbye Thesis, Hello Final 15 Units
Goodbye blank, Hello blank
NOVEMBER
This was an uber busy month. Skechers Finals rehearsals until the late hours of the evening, CADs Prayer Day/Team Building, dealing with personal issues which led me to being a full-time aunt to my two favorite kids in the world. It was also Luigi, my nephew's first birthday. That...and I'm loving my last semester. Oh yes.
DECEMBER
First day of the last month.Skechers Streetdance Final Battle III. I am at loss for words. Because "as one body with one movement and one purpose, we groove for the Glory of one God. We are the Company of Ateneo Dancers."
The Holidays. I wasn't very excited for it this year and I've been struggling with issues (yet again). It's something I deal with every Christmas break. Thank God for Christmas Parties.
And my insane family for making this year's Holiday worth remembering.
Perhaps this year wasn't so bad and it did have its fair share of wonderful and annoying experiences. Nonetheless, I am thankful for everything, for everyone.
And yes, that includes you.
YES YOU.
